Jawqa (Arab Choir)

Audience: All ages from 14 and up
Type of Activity: The students sing a wide variety of Arab music vocal repertoire such as Muwashah, Kasid, Taktouka and much more. They work on improving their singing and performance technique in an ensemble setting. Singing in a choir helps students to become a better musician through improving their sight reading and aural skills. The classes are offered to all students in the Arab Music Department, Academic and Music for all. Participants must have prior experience.
Prerequisites: Auditions required.
Duration: 60 minutes
Timing: Starting from September 2016 (dates to be confirmed)
Language of Instruction: Arabic
Fees: QR40 per session, payable by the term.
Admissions: Online enrolment from 27 March 2016 to 17 April 2016
