Qatar Music Academy is delighted to announce an outstanding year for music exam results from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music based in the United Kingdom. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 32 students were awarded distinctions out of a total of 52 marked exams. QMA students excelled on exams for piano, string instruments, woodwind and brass instruments, and percussion as well as music theory exams.

Qatar Music Academy clarinet student James Watkins was also selected to perform as part of the ABRSM Global High Scorers online concert. Video performances from exceptional ABRSM candidates from around the world are chosen to be published together to create a concert of ABRSM exam high scorers that is streamed worldwide.

On these recent student successes, QMA Director Zlatan Fazlic said, “Congratulations to all our students that have taken their ABRSM exams. Consistently outstanding results such as these maintain the Academy’s’ position as the leading music institution in Qatar and the region.

I’d like to pay tribute to our superb team of Music teachers who work hard to give our students the highest quality music tuition: their skill, enthusiasm and commitment sit at the heart of everything we do.

Of course, we must not forget the role that parents play in our students’ success too, by providing their unconditional support.”
